Academy Supply List - Grades 9-12

ART

Drawing & Painting I and II 

• spiral or book-bound sketchbook, 9x12 in.

Computer Art, Graphic Design, and Introduction to Digital Media 

• USB storage device
• Wireless mouse. Average cost can range from $10-$20. Can be found at Walmart, Target, Staples, or online at Amazon.com. (A mouse with a cord can be used as a substitution as long as it has a USB connector.)
• Earbuds or headphones compatible with Chromebooks and computers.

BUSINESS

For all Business classes, students need a folder dedicated to that course.

ENGLISH

Each teacher will inform students of notebook requirements on the first day of class.

MATH

All math classes, with the exception of Algebra ABC and Career Math courses, will require:

• either a 3-ring one-inch binder or folder
• ruler
• pencils
• a TI-84 CE Plus Graphing Calculator
• Some may require colored pencils and highlighters.

Geometry Course

• Westcott Student Soft Touch School Compass With Anti-Microbial Protection:

Upper-level Math courses: AP Calculus, AP Statistics, IB Math, Pre Calc, and Algebra 2 will require (in addition to the above) graph paper and notebook paper.

If purchasing a new graphing calculator, purchase the TI 84 Plus CE graphing calculator model.
These calculators can be purchased at stores such as Walmart, Target, Staples, or online at Amazon.com. We suggest purchasing these in early August to take advantage of the back-to-school sales. However, be aware that several stores sell out on the first day of school.

Please do not purchase other TI 84 models. They are outdated.

Graphing Calculators: We highly encourage families to purchase their own graphing calculators, but we do have calculators available for loan. Let your child’s math teacher know if you need to borrow a calculator. Your child will need this calculator for the first week of school, as it will be used and needed for homework/classwork.

MUSIC

All Music Students

• Students enrolled in a music course at the Academy should have access to a pair of headphones for home use.
• They should also have a music stand at home to ensure that they are practicing/playing with good posture.

Band & Orchestra

Each student should have a method/etude book for their small group music lessons. This book is different for each student/group. Generally speaking, students will begin the academic year with the book that they used at the end of the prior year.  Please contact a music teacher if further clarification is required.
Orchestra

Orchestra students must have rosin at home.
