One Community, Transforming Lives

About Us

The Lynne H. Erdle Canandaigua Academic and Career Center is a place where students grow, thrive, and reach their academic and career potential.

The CACC offers a Regents curriculum where students benefit from an alternative setting, with small class sizes that allow them much interaction with staff and with each other. There is a deliberate and strong emphasis on career development and graduates from the CACC are ready for college and the workforce.

With hands-on learning opportunities and an ever-growing emphasis on interdisciplinary study and projects, the philosophy and daily life of the CACC make it a place where students truly love their academic and personal growth…in their “home away from home!”

The CACC is dedicated to its founder

Lynne H. Erdle dedicated her teaching and administrative career to the proposition that all children and teens must be afforded the educational setting that allows them the best opportunity to succeed to their highest potential and provides a classroom experience that gives them hope for their futures.

This program embodies those education ideals. Mrs. Erdle is a champion of flexibility of services, opportunity, responsibility, and caring commitment to every student, no matter their situation in life or readily apparent academic skills.

Her unrelenting devotion to this mission and manifest love for young people at each step of her extraordinary career establishes her as one of the foremost educational leaders in the history of the Canandaigua City School District.
