Section V Class AA2 Champions!

The Section V Class AA2 baseball championship between Canandaigua Academy and Irondequoit was a dramatic, back-and-forth contest that came down to the final inning at Dwyer Stadium. Irondequoit built a 6–3 lead and was just three outs away from capturing the title, but Canandaigua refused to go quietly. In the bottom of the seventh, the Gray Wolves exploded for four runs, fueled by a mix of timely hitting, patient at-bats, and defensive miscues by Irondequoit. The rally capped off a resilient performance and secured a 7–6 victory, giving Canandaigua its first sectional championship since 2019.
