Thank you to The Spot!

The Canandaigua City School District would like to give a big thank you to The Spot for organizing back to school shopping for families in Canandaigua. Sarah Chilson, the lead organizer of The Spot, noted how excited the students were to shop at the event. Students and their families worked with a volunteer to pick out the supplies needed for the school year. The Spot's goal for the event was to prepare students with supplies and to foster positive relationships with families, the school, and the larger Canandaigua community. The Spot will work with our schools throughout the school year to provide students access to materials.

The Spot has already received a generous donation from the Canandaigua Class of 2018 to kick start preparing for the 2019-2020 school year. Thank you to The Spot and Sarah Chilson for organizing this successful event. For anyone interested in volunteering or donating to The Spot, contact The Spot at
