Education at its finest!
On the first day, after exploring the Museum of American History, you’ll take a DJ/Dinner Cruise on the Potomac River enjoying outstanding service and breathtaking views of our nation’s capital. On the second day, you will have a guided trolley tour of Arlington National Cemetery and experience the elaborate Changing of the Guard Ceremony. Lunch will be at Union Station. In its “heyday,” the Union Station was the main transportation hub of Washington servicing more than 100,000 passengers in a single day. The station even had a Presidential Suite, first used by President Taft in 1909 and the last to use it was President Eisenhower. A guided tour will be given at the Capitol Building. You will see the Visitor’s Center and exhibits about the legislative branch of our government. You will also see a short film about the Capitol before taking a guided tour into the rotunda. A fun ride on the metro will be next for a visit at the 163 acre National Zoo that is home to more than 400 species of animals. For dinner you will enjoy a 4-course “hands-on” feast fit for royalty at Medieval Times. Inside the stone walls of their 11th century-style castle, you will watch Medieval Spain come to life before your eyes. Finally, on Saturday, you will explore famous monuments. After being fascinated by the monuments, you will experience a living memorial at the Holocaust Memorial Museum. Enjoy a meal at EAT @ National Place and finalize the trip with some souvenir shopping.
